So I asked

Tonight I asked why mosquitoes exist...

I was expecting a flimsy response but I got more than what I bargained for...

They are the only creatures small enough and hardy enough to pollinate all the tiny plants in the far north and even lower south. Plus they in turn are food for billions and billions of birds and other animals. They are very necessary to the health of the planet.

Mosquitoes are a food source for many plants and animals but they are the largest flower pollinator behind bees.
Without mosquitoes you wouldn't exist.
